Hard disc

Data or information storage device useually consisting of rigid metal disc coated with a magnetic material.Data are read from and written to the disc bby means of a isc drive.The hard disc may be permenently fixed in to the drive or on th form of a disc pack that can be removed and exchanged wiht different pack.Hard disc capacities range up to over a gigabyte .The smallest discs currently sold are 40 or 80 mega bytes even for micro computers.
Hardware :Mechanical,elctrical and electronic compentents of a computer system as opposed to the various programs.Which constitute softwere.
Hidden files:Files in an MS-Dos system which are not normally displayed when the directory listing listing command is given .These include certain system files,principally.so that there is less chance of modyfing or deleting them by accident but any file can be made hidden if so required.
