Liquid crystal display

This is known as short term (LCD).Dispay of numbers (for example in a caluclator)or pictures(such as on a pocket telivision screen)produced by molecules of substance in a simi liquid state with some crystalline properties so that clusters of molecules align in a parllel.This display is blank until an electric field is applied at which the molecules twist to that they reflect or transmit any light falling on them.
