Macintosh

AbbreviatedMac.A range of personal computers introduced in 1984 by Apple computer Inc,featuring a popular and easy to use graphical user interface . The computer is based on the Motorola 68000 series of micro processors and uses a proprietary operating system to simulate the users desktop on the screen
The original Mac was a portable self-contained with a small monochrome screen,128kb of memory two serial ports,extended sound capabilities,and a single 400 kb 3.5 inch floppy disc.The computer was an instant succes,an users quickly began to demand more power and additonal features.Apple released many new models over this years expanding the range to include Macs based on the 68020,68030 and 68040 processors ading color,more memory a built in SCSI interface,a32 bit bus and lager and faster hard disks.
Introduced in 19991,the power Book series of notebook computers offers both power and convenience in avery small packages posing a real challenge to the DOS based laptops.The power-book Duo is a practical solution to hte problem of one computer for the desktop and another that fits in to a breifcase for use while travelling .The Duo can dock in to a larger desktop docking station with a full sized key board and color display .configuaration is auto matic including priinter,network and file-server connection.
