Do you have to understand the interneal workings of microcomputers in order to use them?Not really ,If people had to understand how automobiles work in order to drive the automobiles on the road would be substainlly reduced.
However while automobiles benifit form nearly 100 years of engenering refinement,Microcomputers are relatiely new.Just as early automobiles had their quicks,suchas hand cranks,todays models that are still on the drawing board.
Compared with the current crop the first micro computers were really in lizzies.you could'nt go doen to the computer for through the mail.Furthermore you could not just plug in it.You had ato chips diodes circuit boards wires and if were lucky,a Reasonably acurate instruction manual.
